All Lucy wanted to do was to get a real job, fall in love, and for goodness sake, move out of her parents house! There was just one problem, well several, but mainly she needed that real job so she could make serious money.

Lucy was almost 25, hadn't actually graduated from college and still lived at home. To top it all off she was a nanny. She wasn't where she wanted to be, to say the very least. At the moment her dream was to own her own bakery, however there were so many obstacles in her way. For starters Lucy was pretty much allergic to life, or at least that's what she told everyone who tried to hand her a beer, or buy her a drink. God forbid they offer her a baked good! Lucy had Celiac's disease, or celiac sprue, really any way you spell it it meant that should could never go into a normal restaurant and eat there, without asking a million annoying questions. She was especially lucky because she didn't just have issues with gluten, oh no, she was blessed with 5 allergies, intolerances, what have you. Lucy had to avoid Gluten, Soy, Nuts, Corn, and most Dairy. (I say most because Lucy often cheated when it came to dairy, ice cream, cheese and Alfredo sauce were just too good!) So, as far as dating went it was really interesting always needing to explain her allergies and asking to go to certain restaurants, or bothering the wait staff with endless questions or requests. Honestly she felt annoying and high maintenance, which for Lucy was awful. Lucy prided herself on being able to go with the flow and fly by the seat of her pants, she hated having to bring food everywhere, plan ahead and be so organized with her day that she had a planner. It was endless. However, that is only a small part of our story, the real story starts her senior year of college, when everything started to get really effed up.

Lucy was so excited to be living with Emily Fields this year. They had known each other since their first day of choir freshman year, when Lucy started calling Emily by her full name, just because it was fun and it made Emily smile. Lucy lived for making people smile, or laugh. They were living in the brand new dorm that had been finished that summer and they had the handicapped room, so it was huge! Their campus was right on the lake just outside of a teeny little town, so small that the school had a larger population. Lucy couldn't wait to start arranging their room, certain that it would change at least three times during the course of the year, she also loved rearranging. It was always fun to imagine different ways the room could look, and Lucy spent far too much money and time at The Container Store that summer not to utilize every single thing she had acquired.
Lucy was a theatre major, and music minor, which meant that her schedule was usually jam packed with 2, 1 and 0 credit courses. Choir being necessary in two ways, one, she had to be a part of a music ensemble at the school in order to maintain her music scholarship and two being that she absolutely adored being in a choir.
